Sup Nerd… Well , you have to be one if you read the title and clicked on the link anyways. Nevertheless , you got no hate here , because we are huge Nerds too ! Ever since “Superhero” based content began it’s major hype into mainstream pop culture with comic references and fandom culture in sitcoms like ‘The Big Bang Theory‘ and many others , having a “Geeky” personality has not just been normalized but sometimes also ‘Green Flagged’ by the public. Alot of this credit goes to Disney Studios for having pulled off a massive interconnected movie franchise , based on Marvel comics , raising the next generation of Geeks. Despite our love and respect for the MCU , the old school geek in us still yearns for the day when Warner Brothers Studios puts the “Justice” back into our beloved superheroes from the DC Comic Universe. It seemed liked the DCEU just couldn’t catch a break from facing PR nightmares after nightmares , when they finally decided to just reboot the entire universe. And as you know with a reboot comes the option of a recast , it’s up to us “Geeks” to pull off another “Deadpool” and demand for the comic accurate universe we deserve. Here’s our list of 10 actors who we feel can really pull it off. FYI , we are basing this “fancast” off comic accuracy only, rather than the actor’s Hollywood prominence per se.
1. JOE MANGANEILLO
Yes ! we would hate to replace Henry Cavil too , although the one thing we feel his portrayal of superman lacked was the ‘Baby Face’ people pleaser that the ‘Son of Krypton’ really is. Clark Kent, as portrayed in the source material, is a modest, unassuming farm boy who eventually becomes a news reporter in a bustling metropolis. He is typically quite affable, although occasionally clumsy, and enjoys joking around with some of the other supporting characters. This helps to establish his humanity, which stands in contrast to his extraterrestrial roots. If you’ve seen Joe Manganiello’s performances in the movie ‘Archenemy‘ or his numerous appearances in sitcoms, you’ll agree with the following reasons why he would be ideal for the role of “Kal-El”.
